CEREBELLUM.

▶▶The cerebellum plays an important role in motor control and It may also be involved in some cognitive functions such as attention and language.

The cerebellum is located behind the top part of the brain stem (where the spinal cord meets the brain) and is made of two hemispheres (halves).

The cerebellum coordinates voluntary movements such as posture, balance, coordination, and speech, resulting in smooth and balanced muscular activity.

It is also important for learning motor behaviors.

There are three anatomical lobes that can be distinguished in the cerebellum:-)

  1. ANTERIOR LOBE
  2. POSTERIOR LOBE
  3. FLOCCULONDULAR LOBE.

ANTERIOR LOBE:-

This lobe is involved in the regulating the body postures.

POSTERIOR LOBE:-

This lobe plays an important role in fine motor coordination.

FLOCCULONDULAR LOBE:-

This lobe is involved in the maintenance of equilibrium.

THANKS.... :-)
