there are 8 parts of speech

1) Noun

nouns are naming words referring to persons, places , things, concepts and so on.

eg: India, Taj Mahal, Gold Man , Government etc.

2) Pronoun

It is a proxy for a noun . It does a the functions of the Noun it stands for. It is the word used instead of noun to avoid the repeatation of nouns.

eg: he, she, it ,we, you etc

3) Adjectives

The words which modify a noun is called an adjective.

eg: some,any , few, several etc.

4) verbs

Verbs are words which denote the action, condition, or experience of a subject

eg: sing, write , kill etc.

5) adverbs

An adverb is a word which modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb

eg: sincerely, very, heavily

6) Preposition

It is a word which shows the relation of a noun or a pronoun to some other words in a sentence.

eg: in, on , by, of etc.

7) Conjunction

A conjunction is a word that joins together words, phrases, clauses or sentences.

eg: and, but, as if, as well as, etc.

8) Interjection

An Interjection is a word used to express some strong feeling or emotion, such as joy, grief, fear, surprise,pity etc.

eg: Ah! , Alas!, Oh!, Hurrah! etc.

2.   Pronoun: A word which is used instead of a noun is called a pronoun. E.g. He, she

3.   Verb: Action words are verbs. E.g. walk, run, write,etc.

4.   Adverb: A word that qualifies a verb is called an adverb. E.g. quickly, slowly etc.

5.   Adjective: A word that qualifies a noun is called an adjective. E.g. beautiful, large, tall, etc.

6.   Preposition: A word that marks the position of it with that of a noun. E.g. at, on, in, etc.

7.   Conjunction: A word that combines two nouns or clauses is called a conjunction. E.g. and, but, or, etc.

8.   Interjection: A word that gives an exclamation of joy or sadness is called an interjection. E.g. wow! , Oh!, Alas!, etc.
