In the story "My childhood" by APJ Abdul Kalam, the author mentions that many people came to his house everyday to eat. Abdul Kalam's mother- Ashiamma used to serve them food daily. In the story, the exact number of people isn't mentioned by Abdul Kalam but, he says that there were more people that came to his house to eat than the members of his own family.
