I think 75 percent in 12 is essential for taking a seat in JEE

Although officially there is nothing it has to do with percentage.

I remember a case of a boy from Kota who got 58℅ in boards but still made it to top 100 in JEE Advanced.

But to qualify for advance nowadays one should get 75℅ in class 12
