Cube of a number refers to its third power. In layman terms, it is the number that is multiplied by itself three times.

For eg.,    Cube of 2 = 2*2*2 = 8

Perfect cubes between 1 to 100 are

a) 1*1*1 = 1

b) 2*2*2 = 8

c) 3*3*3 = 27

d) 4*4*4 = 64

So, there are only 4 perfect cubes between 1 to 100, if 1 is also included.

Hope it helps!

2^3 = 8

3^3 = 27

4^3 = 64

5^3 = 125

6^3 = 216

7^3 = 343

8^3 = 512

9^3 = 729

Hence, there are three perfect cubes between 1 and 100.

Hence, there are one perfect cube between 1 and 5.

Hence, there are 8 perfect cubes between 1 and 1000.

If you include 1 and 10 also, then there are 10 of them.
