4² = 16 , 5² = 25 , 6² = 36 , 7² = 49 , 8² = 64 , 9² = 81

The range is 10 to 99

The squares of 1,2 and 3 lie below 10 and that of 10 lies above 99.

I don't think there are any tricks you just have to find the square root of the numbers of the range and accordingly you can also find these numbers like in this case ,

In the range, lower limit is 10 so find its square root which is 3.16 so obviously the perfect square starts after (3.16)² so we accordingly take the square of the whole number after 3 i.e 4 and 4² = 16 which lies in the range similarly find the last number falling for this criteria by using the upper limit of the range like here it is 100 this time you will take a smaller number. If u know about arithmetic progression u can find 'n' using the formula and u have ur answer.
