how many petals are in sunflower

Firstly a sunflower is not a single flower as you see Rose, Hibiscus etc. Sunflower is a composite flower… made up of more than hundreds of flowers called florets. A single individual floret has five petals. Actually the central floret have normal petal length all similar in length called disc florets but the florets lie at the rim called ray florets have one longer petal out of five. So the answer is five.
