how many pieces of length 2/7 metres can be cut from a roll of ribbon of length 113 metres? how much ribbon remains?

113 \div  \frac{2}{7}  =113 \times  \frac{7}{2}  = 791 \div 2 = 395.5 = it \: means \: 395 \: pieces \: and \:  \: \\ 0.5m \:rebbon \:  remain \:

113m  \: will   \: have \: 113 \div  \frac{2}{7 }  = 395.5 \: pieces  \: but \: half \: the \: piece \: is \: of \:  \frac{2}{7} m \: hence \:  \\ remaining \: length = .5 \times  \frac{2}{7} =  \frac{1}{7}  meter
