how many pieces of length 3 3/4 cm each can be cut from a rope os length 30 cm?

Given
Total length of Rope=30cm
Length of 1 piece=33/4cm

No of pieces can be cut =
 \frac{30}{ \frac{33}{4} }
 \frac{30 \times 4}{33}
=120/33=40/11
=3 complete prices and left 7/11cm

we have that:
30:(3 +3/4);
=30:(12+3/4);
=30:(15/4);
=30×4/15;
=120/15;
=8


Therefore 8 pieces of equal size can be cut out.
