Answer:

55

Step-by-step explanation:

area of path= 154cm*90cm=

13860 cm²

Area of stone slabs= 18*14cm=

252 cm²

stone slabs required = 13860/252= 55

hope it helps!!!

Given :- How many pieces of stone slabs each 18 cm long and 14 cm broad will be required to lay a path 154 cm long and 90 cm wide .?

Solution :-

we know that,

  • Area of rectangle = Length * Breadth .

so,

→ Area of path = L * B = (154 * 90) cm².

and ,

→ Area of 1 stone slab = L * B = (18 * 14) cm².

now, Let us assume that, n number of stone slabs are required to lay the path .

then,

→ Number of stone slabs * Area of 1 stone slab = Area of path

→ n * (18 * 14) = (154 * 90)

dividing both sides by 18,

→ n * 14 = 154 * 5

dividing both sides by 14,

→ n = 11 * 5

→ n = 55 (Ans.)

Hence, Total 55 stone slabs are required to lay the path .
