There are 8 planets in our solar system✨✨ and they are Mercury, venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune.

Let me tell u one thing also.

Earlier the solar system was believed to have 9 (nine) planets, with Pluto being the ninth one. in 2006, the International Astronomical Union removed Pluto from the list of planets and re-categorised it as a dwarf planet. According to the International Astronomical Union (IAU ) , there are three conditions for a body to be called planet :

  1. It must be in direct orbit of the Sun and not be a satellite or a moon around another celestial body.
  2. It must be massive enough for it to have become spherical in shape under its own gravity.
  3. It must clear the neighborhood around its orbit.

As Pluto is, according to ( IAU) ; a body that does not have sufficient mass to overcome its compressive strength and achieve hydrostatic equilibrium ; it cannot be a planet but it is called a dwarf planet.

This is ur answer hope it helps you.

God bless u and ur family and friends.
