how many planks each of which is 2 m long 2.5 cm broad and 4 cm thick can be cut off from a wooden Block 6 m long 15 cm broad
and 40 cm thick?

find the volume of one plank and the volume of the block
vol. of block/vol. of plank will give u your answer

Length of the plank=2m=2×100=200

breadth=2.5cm

and height=4cm

It's volume=l×b×h=200×2.5×4=2000cm³

now Length of the wooden block=6cm=6×100=600cm

breadth=15cm

height=40cm

and it's volume=600×15×40=360000cm³

Number of planks=volume of the block/Volume of the planks=360000/2000=180
