Given: 
⇒ Length of plank, l = 2cm
⇒ Height of plank, h= 25cm
⇒ Breadth of plank, b = 8cm
⇒ Length of wooden block, L = 5cm
⇒ Height of wooden block, H = 70cm
⇒ Breadth of wooden block, B = 32cm

To find: 
 Number of planks, (n)

Solution:
⇒ Volume of cuboid = l × b × h cubic. units
⇒ Volume of plank, v = l × b × h cubic. cm
⇒ Volume of wooden block, V = L × B × H cubic. cm

⇒ Let us assume the number of planks made from the wooden block to be (n).

⇒ Volume of wooden block = n × Volume of plank 
⇒ V = n × v
⇒ L × B × H = n ( l × b × h)
⇒ 5 × 32 × 70 = n ( 2 × 8 × 25)
⇒ 11200 = n (400)
⇒ n = 11200/400
⇒ ∴ n = 28

⇒ Thus, 28 planks can be made from the given wooden block.
