Answer:

Mass number(A) = Number of Neutrons(n) +  Number of protons(Z)

Number of protons = No of electrons.

A = n + Z

∴n = A - Z

1) for Oxygen -   electrons = 8 therefore protons = 8

Mass number = 18

Neutrons = 18 - 8 = 10

Neutrons in oxygen is  10

2) for Magnesium -  electrons = protons = 12

Mass number = 25

Neutrons = 25 - 12 = 13

Neutrons in magnesium is 13

3)for Bromine -  electron = protons = 35

Mass number = 80

Neutrons = 80 - 35

Neutrons in Bromine is 45.
