formula for perimeter = 2(l+b)

perimeter = 36 cm

So,

2(l+b) = 36

or, l+b = 18

Numbers which add up to 18

(1,17) (2,16) (3,15) (4,14) (5,13) (6,12) (7,11) (8,10) (9,9)

As you can see there are 9 pairs

so 9 rectangles can be drawn with the perimeter as 36cm

However, 18 and 0 can not be counted! as this is impossible

Your answer is correct but just one small thing, not being rude but 9 x 9 would not be a rectangle, it would be a square. Just to rectify that. Any ways thank you for the answer.
