Given:-

  • Resistance of Resistor ,R = 200 ohm

  • Current ,I = 5A

  • Potential Difference ,V = 200v

To Find:-

  • No. of Resistor ,n

Solution:-

Let the total no. resistors required be n

Firstly we calculate the equivalent resistance in Parallel.

• 1/Req = 1/R1 + .....

Substitute the value we get

➨ 1/Req = n × 1/200

➨ 1/Req = n/200

➨ Req = 200/n

Equivalent Resistance in Parallel 200/n ohms

now , Using ohms Law

• V = IR

where

v is the potential difference

I is the current

R is the Resistance

Substitute the value we get

➨ 200 = 5 × 200/n

➨ 200 ×n = 5×200

➨200× n = 1000

➨ n = 1000/200

➨ n = 5

Therefore, the number of required resistors are 5 .
