LOK SABHA
Maximum number of seats as per constitution can be 552: 530 from States, 20 from Union Territories and 2 from Anglo-Indian Community nominated by president of India. At present, 545 members are there in the lower house, 543 elected and 2 from Anglo-Indian Community
RAJYA SABHA
Article 80 of the Constitution lays down the maximum strength of Rajya Sabha as 250, out of which 12 members are nominated by the President and 238 are representatives of the States and of the two Union Territories.
