so, 12x - 31 - m = m

12x - 31 = 2m

→ 2x - 3= ± 2m

x = (3 ± 2m)/2

also |2x - 3|=0 2x = 3 x = 3/2

Therefore x = (3 + 2m)/2, (3 - 2m)/2 and 3/2 are the solutions of equation.
