For the energy which is absorbed we have the formulae 13.6 (1 - (1/n^2) in electron volts. Since, for the hydrogen atom the value of the n is 2. Hence, on substituting in the equation we will get that E = 13.6(1 - (1/2^2) which on solving we will get the value of energy as 10.2 eV. So, for minimum emission of spectral lines the lowest energy state must be given as 10.2. While in the question it is given as 10.2. Hence, no spectral lines.
