Answer:

(side)a=12 cm

volume of a cube = a^3

=12^3

=1728cm^3

volume of a ball = 4/3 ×pi ×r^3

=4/3×22/7 ×3×3×3

=113.1cm^3

no of balls can be made = volumeof a cube/volume of a ball

=1728/113.1

=15 balls

15 spherical balls are made from the given solid cube.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, Dimensions of solid cube :

Edge of cube (a) = 12 cm

So, Volume of cube V1  = a³

                                   V1 = (12)³

                                        = 1728 cm³......(i)

Here, Dimensions of each spherical ball:

radius = 3 cm

Volume of each ball  V2 = 4/3 πr³

                                        =  113.1

If we let the number of spherical ball made by the solid cube which is 'n'

n = V1 /V2

n = 1728 / 113.1

n = 15.28 [ Approx 15 balls ]

15 spherical balls are made from the given solid cube.
