how many spherical lead shots of diameter 8 cm would displace half the water contained in a cylindrical tank of radius 8 cm and height 16 cm?(\pi=22/7}

0.5 vol of cylinder =no. Of lead shots ×vol of per lead shot.

Let no. of lead shot be n

 \frac{1}{2}  \times \pi {r}^{2} h = n \times  \frac{4}{3} \pi {r}^{3}

Cancel π on both side.put values.

 \frac{1}{2}  {8}^{2}  \times 16 =  \frac{4}{3}  {4}^{3}  \times n

Take n on one side..

 {8}^{2}  \times 8 \times  \frac{3}{ {4}^{2}  \times 4}  = n

Solve them for n

24 = n Ans

24 lead shot..
