Solution:-
Length of each pane = 25 cm or 0.25 m
Breadth of each pane = 16 cm or 0.16 .
Area of each pane = 0.25*0.16
= 0.04 sq m
Total area of 12 panes = 0.04*12
= 0.48 sq m
So, 0.48 sq m glass will be required for a window of 12 panes.
