Area of rectangular cloth= length×breadth

= 24× 1

= 24sq.m

Area of a square piece = Length×Length

= 25×25

= 625 sq.cm

Area of rectangular cloth is in sq.m, whereas area of square piece is in sq.cm. Therefore area of rectangular cloth into sq.cm,

24 sq.m =24 × 10,000 sq.cm

=2.40,000 sq.cm

Now number of square pieces =

 \frac{240000}{625}

= 384

Therefore, 384 square pieces are formed.
