Step-by-step explanation:

area of floor = 6.4*5

= 32 m*m = 32*100*100 = 320000cm*cm

area of square tile =

16*16

256cm*cm

no of tiles required= 320000/256

=1250 tiles

Given:-

  • Side of square titles (a)= 16cm

  • Length of rectangular room,l = 6.4 m

  • Breadth of rectangular room ,b = 5m

To Find:-

  • No. of square tiles (n)

Solution:-

Firstly we have find the area of rectangular room and after that we calculate the area of each tiles .

According to the Question

→ Area of rectangular room = Length×Breadth

Substitute the value we get

→ Area of room = 6.4×5

→ Area of room = 32m²

∴ The area of rectangular room is 32m²

Now Calculating the area of each square tiles

→ Area of square tiles = (side)²

Substitute the value we get

→ Area of square tiles = 16²

→ Area of square tiles = 256cm²

∴ The area of each tiles is 256cm²

Converting the cm² into m²

→ 1m² = 10000cm²

∴ 256cm² = 256/10000m² = 0.0256m²

Now Calculating the Number of tiles

→ No.Of tiles = Area of room/Area of each tiles

Substitute the value we get

→ n = 32/0.0256

→ n = 32×10000/256

→ n = 320000/256

→ n = 1250 tiles

The total no.of tiles required to pawe the floor is 1250 tiles.
