Hi ,

length of the each square tile = a = 18 cm

dimensions of the rectangular room are

length = l = 7.2 m = 7.2 × 100 cm = 720cm

breadth = b = 5.4m = 5.4 × 100cm = 540cm

let number of times

required to pave the floor = n

n = ( area of the floor ) / ( area of the each tile )

n = ( lb ) / a²

n = ( 720 × 540 ) / ( 18 × 18 )

n = 40 × 30

n = 1200 tiles required .

I hope this helps you.
