How many square tiles of side 50cm are needed for the flooring of the room if the length of the room is 6m and the breath of the room is 5m ?

As given

Side of square tile = 50 cm = 50/100 m = 1/2 m

So it's area = side ^2 = (1/2) ^2 = 1/4 m square

Again As given

Length of room = 6 m

Breadth of room = 5 m

So it's area = 6×5 = 30 m square

Then

No of square tiles = Area of the room/Area of square tile = 30/1×4 = 120

Therefore the number of square tiles needed for the flooring of room is 120.
