Hi friend, Harish here.

Here is your answer:

Given that,

1) Side length of tiles =  8 cm.

2) Length & Breadth of the rectangular field are 24m & 6m respectively.

To find,

No of tiles that are need to fit .

Solution:

We know that,

Area of square = side × side

                         = 8cm × 8cm

                         = 64 cm².

We know that, Length of rectangle = 24 m = 2400 cm

                        Breadth of rectangle = 6 m = 600 cm.

Then, Area = Length × Breadth

                   = 2400 × 600

                   = 1440000 cm².

Then, No of tiles needed is = \frac{Area\ of\ rectangular\ floor }{Area\ of\ single\ tile}

⇒  \frac{1440000}{64} = 22500

Therefore number of tiles needed is 22,500 tiles.
