Your Answer = 40 squares.

Explanation:–

  • There is one largest square which consists of many smaller squares.
  • Then there are 4 squares in 4 rows which which make up 16 squares.
  • After that there are 9 medium sized squares made up of 4 small squares each.
  • Then there are 4 large squares made up by combining 9 small squares.
  • Then there are 2 squares in the middle.
  • These 2 squares consists of 4 smaller squares making up 8 smallest squares.

So the total number of squares:-

=> 1+16+9+4+2+8

Answer:

40 squares

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello Sir

The answer to your question is 40 squares

First we count those smallest squares

We get 8 squares

Then we count those mini sqaures as a separate square

We get 2 squares

Then we count those squares which forms the grid

We get 16 squares

Then we take those grid squares together as a square of 2 × 2

We get 9 squares

Then we take those grid squares together as a square of 3 × 3

We get 4 squares

Then we take the biggest square of 4 × 4

We get 1 square

On Adding them we get :-

8 + 2 + 16 + 9 + 4 + 1

40
