Dimensions of the sheet :

L × B = 12 cm × 6 cm ---( 1 )

Dimensions of the each stamp :

l × b = 3 cm × 1.5 cm ----( 2 )

Let the number stamps pasted = n

n = ( 1 )/( 2 )

n = ( 12 cm × 6 cm )/( 3cm × 1.5 cm )

n = 4 × 4

n = 16

Therefore ,

number of stamps pasted on the

sheet = n = 16
