These 7 states have bicameral legislatures i.e, they have both vidhan sabha and vidhan parishad. As of 2017, seven (7) (out of twenty-nine) states have a Legislative Council. They are Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, and Uttar Pradesh.
