100 subsets will have one element and a nullset...therefore subsets having one or less than one element = 101

Subsets with more than one element =2^100 - 101

Where 2^100 is total number of subsets.

total no. of subsets possible =
 {2}^{100}
but we need subsets with more than one elements
soooo.... the required is
 {2}^{100}  - 101
becoz.... 100 subsets with each elements and 1 extra for empty/null subsets
