a = -8

d = 2

Tn = 70

We know that

Tn = a + ( n -1 ) d

70 = -8 + ( n -1 ) × 2

70 = -8 + 2n -2

70 = -10 + 2n

70 +10 = 2n

80 = 2n

n = 40

Therefore 40 th term = 70
