harshjainn2003: Can u plz elaborate. I am unable to understand what u did
Anonymous: If at all three places all digits can repeat then the no. formed = 6×6×6.....but due to even no. we take only three no. in once place.....so total no. formed = 6×6×3

Answer:

There are six ditferent digits with which 3 vacant places □□□ are filled up

satisfying the given conditions,

As the required 3-digit numbers are even, we start filling in unit's place and the options forlace are 2, 4, and 6 only. So uniť's place can be filled up in 3 different ways. Having filled

up unit's place, the ten's place can be filled up by any of the six digits 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in six

different ways as the digits can be repeated. Similarly, the hundred's place can be filled up indif

6 ways.

therefore by the multiplication principle of Counting required number of 3 digit even numbers

= 3×6×6=108
