Answer:

༺☞For finding total number of any n digit whole number, we have 2 method

❥(1) Highest number method

❥(2)Smallest number method

❥In HNM we take the highest number of given n digit number subtract by highest number of (n-1)digit number.

❥In SNM we take smallest number of (n+1)digit number and substract by smallest number of n digit number.

❥Similarlly here required 3 digit number.

❥So first HNM, n digit highest number is 999

❥And highest number of (n-1) digit is 99

❥Substract 99 from 999 we get 900(total 3 digit number present)

❥Now SNM, (n+1) digit smallest number is 1000

❥And smallest number of n digit is 100

❥Now substract 100 from 1000 we get 900 also.꧂
