for covering floor we find area
area of floor =6m×4m
=24sq.m
1m=100cm
so,6m=600cm and 4m=400cm
so,area=600×400
=240000sq.cm
tiles required =240000/400
=600tiles

Answer:

600 tiles are required

Step-by-step explanation:

Length of floor = 6 m = 600 cm

Breadth of floor = 4 m = 400 cm

Area of floor = Length \times Breadth

Area of floor = 600 \times 400

Area of floor = 240000 cm^2

Area requires by 1 tile = 400 sq.cm.

No. of tiles required for the floor = \frac{240000}{400}

                                                    = 600

Hence 600 tiles are required .
