area of tiles=0.25×0.20=0.05cm^2

area of floor=12×9=109m^2

no. of tiles=(area of floor)÷(area of tiles)

=109÷0.05

=2180

2160 tiles are required for the floor of a room 12 metre long and 9 metre wide

Step-by-step explanation:

1 m = 100 cm

Length of floor = 12 m = 1200 cm

Width of floor = 9 m = 900 cm

Area of floor =Length \times Breadth = 1200 \times 900 = 1080000 cm^2

Length of tile = 25 cm

Breadth of tile = 20 cm

Area of 1 tile =25 \times 20 =500 cm^2

No. of tiles required = \frac{1080000}{500}=2160

Hence 2160 tiles are required for the floor of a room 12 metre long and 9 metre wide
