Let us take the length of the plot as 25m
and the breadth of the plot as 16m.
We require a footpath of 1.5m around it
Therefore, The length will be 25m + (1.5+1.5) = 27m
The breadth will be 16m + (1.5+1.5) = 19m
Now, Area of grassy plot = 25m x 16m = 400m²
Area of footpath including grassy plot = 27m x 19m = 513m²
Therefore, area of footpath = 513m²- 400m²
= 113m²
We need 5 tiles to make 1m²
Then how many do we need to make 113m²
Therefore, 113m² x 5 tiles = 565 tiles
and the breadth of the plot as 16m.
