area of the tile=l×b
= 12×5
= 60cm²
a) given breadth is 100cm and length is 144cm.
area = 144×100
= 14400cm²
no. of tiles required to fit = 14400
= 240 tiles
b) given length is 70cm and breadth is 36cm.
area = 70×36
= 2520cm²
no. of tiles required to fit = 2520/60
= 42 tiles
