how many tiles of measure 10*10cm are required to cover a surface 4m * 2.5 m ?

here's ur answer...

given Length of the side of the tile is 10cm = 0.1m.

area of the tile = side²

= 0.1 × 0.1

= 0.1m²

given Length of the surface = 4m

breadth of the surface = 2.5m

area of the surface = l × b

= 4 × 2.5

= 10m²

no. of tiles required to cover the surface = 10/0.1

= 100

hence, 100 tiles are required

Area of the floor=4×2.5
=10m2
Area of tiles = 100cm2
Area of floor in cm2=10×10000
=100000
No of tiles req=100000/100
=1000
