Answer:

The number of tiles required to fit in region = 960

Step-by-step explanation:

Given length and breadth of the tiles = 100 cm  and 25 cm

        length and breadth of the region = 20 m and 12 m

for our convenient convert  dimensions region from meter to centimeters

          1 m = 100 cm ⇒20 m = 20 × 100 = 2000 cm

                                    12 m = 12 × 100 =1200 cm

    the number of tile to fit the region

          =  total area of the region ÷ area of the tiles

   now we need to find out areas of region and tile

 area of the region = lb  (area of rectangle = length× breadth )

                                 =2000 × 1200

                                 = 2400000 cm^{2}

     area of  tile =  100 × 25  = 2500 cm^{2}

number of tiles =  \frac{2400000 cm^{2} }{2500cm^{2} } =960
