Area of the region = l × b sq. units
=100 × 144 sq. cm
= 14400 sq.cm

Area of the tile = s × s sq. units
= 12 × 5 sq. cm
= 60 sq . cm

No. of tiles required to fit the region
= 14400 sq .cm ÷ 60 sq .cm
= 240 tiles
