Length of rectangle ( L ) :- 100 cm
Breadth of rectangle ( B ) :- 144 cm

Length of tiles ( l ) :- 12cm
Breadth of tiles ( b ) :- 5cm

Let the tiles required be n

n × 12 × 5 = 100 × 144

n =  \frac{100 \times 144}{12 \times 5}

n = 20 × 12

n = 240

So the required number of tiles is 240

area of region equals 14400 cm^2 and 1 tile area equals 60cm^2 if we divide total area by 1 tile 14400/60 that is 240 hence answeri is 240 tiles
