Hi there,
Area of tile = 12 x 5 = 60 cm^2
Area of region = 100 x 144 = 14400
14400/60 = 240
240 tiles.
Hope this helps :-)

Area of rectangular region is (70 * 36)cm²
I. e., 2520 cm²
Area of 1 tile is (12 * 5) cm ² I. e. 60cm²,
Now dividing we get,
2520/60 =42 number of tiles..... (Ans).......
