Step-by-step explanation:

QUESTION :

How many tiles are required to covered the rectangular region.

GIVEN :

length of tiles = 13 cm

breadth of tiles = 7 cm

Length of rec region = 520 cm

Breadth of rec region = 140 cm

FORMULA USED HERE :

Area of rectangle = l × b

SOLUTION :

l of tile = 13 cm

b of tile = 7 cm

area of tiles = l x b

= 13cm x 7cm

= 91 cm²

Now,

l of rec region = 520 cm

b of rec region = 140 cm

area of rec region = 520 cm x 140 cm

= 72800cm²

Again,

Number of tiles required = area of tiles / area of rec region

than,

72800cm² / 91 cm²

= 800 Answer

Hence, 800 tiles is required

Answer :

800 tiles

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of the tiles = Length × Breadth

                          = 13 × 7

                          = 91 cm²

Area of the rectangular region = Length  × Breadth

                                                  = 520 × 140

                                                  = 72800 cm²

Therefore the number of tiles needed to cover the rectangular region

= Area of the rectangular region ÷ Area of the tiles

              = 72800 cm² ÷ 91 cm²

              = 800 tiles

Hope this helps you !!!
