HOLA friend!!
Rajdeep here....
Do you know, what is Persistence of Sound?
Persistence of sound is the time period, in which, a sound persists in our ears after it has stopped. A sound, after being produced, persists in our ears for a period of only 0.1 seconds.
Hence, after you produce the real sound, you will hear the reflected sound after 0.1 seconds. The reflected sound can be called as an echo only if it reflects back and reaches our ears after 0.1 seconds, i.e., the time period after the persistence of the original sound in our ears, otherwise we could not distinguish between the original sound and the reflected sound.
Remember the conditions for an echo:
1. The distance between the observer and the obstacle should be minimum 17m (if speed of sound in air is 240m/s).
2. The size of the obstacle should be much more than the observer.
Thanks!!
Nice to help you..(^_^)
