Therefore , the area of cyclinder is 2πr(r+h) = 2πr^2 + 2πrh = Area1

Case 2: Radius = r

Height = 2h

Therefore , Area = 2πr(r+ 2h )

= 2πr^2 + 4πrh = Area 2

Area2 ÷ Area 1

= 2πr^2 + 4πrh ÷ 2πr^2 + 2πrh

= 2

Therefore , the area will increase 2 times when the radius remains same and height is doubled .
