Given : a wheel of radius 28 cm rotate to go 5.28 m

To Find : How many times does   wheel rotates

Solution:

a wheel of radius 28 cm

Circumference = 2πR

π = 22/7

R = 28 cm

=>Circumference =  2(22/7) * 28

= 44 * 4

= 176  cm

Hence in one rotation wheel covers = 176 cm

Distance to be covered = 5.28 m

1 m = 100 cm

=> Distance to be covered = 528 cm

Number of rotations required = 528 / 176

= 3

3 times a wheel of radius 28 cm rotate to go 5.28 m

Given:

• Radius of wheel=28cm

• Wheel has to go 5.28m

To find:

• No. of revolutions covered by wheel

Solution:

The distance in one revolution covered by wheel will be equal to its circumference.

So:

Distance in 1 revolution=2πr

Distance in 1 revolution=2×(22/7)×28

Distance in 1 revolution=176cm

Wheel will cover 176cm in one revolution. We are asked to find no. Of revolution to cover 5.28m(528cm).

So,

No. Of revolution=Total distance/distance in 1 revolution

No. Of revolution=528cm/176cm

No. Of revolution=3

So, the wheel will cover 5.28m distance in 3 revolutions.
