TO DETERMINE

The number of times a wheel of radius 28 cm rotates to go 5.28 m

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the radius of the wheel is 28 cm

∴ r = 28

So circumference of the wheel

 \sf{ = 2 \pi r \:  \: cm}

 \displaystyle \sf{ = 2  \times  \frac{22}{7} \times   28 \:  \: cm}

 \displaystyle \sf{ = 8 \times 22 \:  \: cm}

 \displaystyle \sf{ = 176 \:  \: cm}

Now 5.28 m = 528 cm

So the required number of times a wheel of radius 28 cm rotates to go 5.28 m

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  \frac{528}{176} \:  \: times }

 \displaystyle \sf{ =  3 \:  \: times }
