how many times does the digit 3 occur in the hundred place in the number between 100 and 10000

Its 1000 times.....
300.....399, 1300....1399, 2300....2399,.........so on to 9300.....9399.
it makes it 399-300+1= 99+1= 100
100 * 10 =1000
