Answer: there are 102 zeroes between 100 and 1000

Step-by-step explanation:

STEP 1 - first count the zeroes on the tens place of all the multiples of 100 till 1000 i.e. 100,200,300,400,500,600,700,800,900,1000

STEP 2 -  count zeroes from 101 till 109 ( 0 is coming in tens place ) and multiply the NUMBER of zeroes with 9 as this pattern is applied at every multiple of 100 ( 201 - 209 ; 301 - 309 ; .....)

STEP 3 - add the number of zeroes you got in step 1 and step 2
